How and When?

The project runs from June 2024 to December 2024. This is the process:

  1. Participants receive a basic training of the Bokashi method, and receive a bokashi kit upon registration.
  2. Every Saturday, they  bring their collection buckets to be emptied in the common bins placed at their respective condominiums
  3. The airtight common bins, once full, are left alone for 2 weeks for the food wasteto be fermented.
  4. The fermented food waste is then sent to the composting sites provided to us by Gardens by the Bay, Singapore, to be mixed with soil and mulch. This is where it will turn into nutrient rich compost.
